The media is giving a lot of attention to the Green Bay Packers, not just because of their team’s talent. Too much of it is due to off-the-field drama. However, make no mistake about it, they possess a lot of talent.

Green Bay is currently undergoing a youth movement as they transition from their legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers and aim to balance their finances. While there may be some challenges along the way, there will undoubtedly be memorable moments and plenty of highlights to enjoy.

As old doors close, new doors will open. In 2023, these five talented players from the Green Bay Packers have the potential to shine and gain widespread recognition throughout the NFL.

These five players on the Green Bay Packers could turn in big 2023 seasons and become household names across the NFL.

Elgton Jenkins

Elgton Jenkins has already made two Pro Bowls so you could argue he’s already close to a household name. However, I feel a major breakout coming. He’ll be playing the same position for the second straight year, a first for his NFL career. That consistency is huge and will allow him to take the next step. I fully expect Jenkins to plant his flag as the premiere left guard in the league.

Devonte Wyatt

With Jarran Reed and Dean Lowry leaving in free agency, there will be plenty of opportunities for Devone Wyatt and TJ Slaton on the defensive line. Kenny Clark will continue to garner the most attention from blockers, allowing Wyatt to fly under the radar and cause some damage. He came on late in the season with limited opportunities and should be able to build upon that success.

Romeo Doubs

Romeo Doubs may not lead the Packers in receiving yards at the end of the season, but he’ll probably lead them in receptions. He’s continued to show out in Organized Team Activities and minicamp, developing a tight bond with new starting quarterback Jordan Love. Doubs has a savviness to him that allows him to overcome his lack of elite athleticism. His route-running and hands are quickly developing, giving him an advantage over plenty of cornerbacks.

Lukas Van Ness

Green Bay intends to develop Lukas Van Ness gradually, similar to how they handled Rashan Gary, although Van Ness is not as unpolished as Gary was. His versatility stands out and he should be able to take advantage of one-on-one opportunities. With defenses focused on Gary, Clark and others, Van Ness will move all over the defensive line and edge to create mismatches for himself.

Christian Watson

Watson possesses elite size at 6-foot-4 to go along with blazing speed and hooper-esque hops. That’s the perfect recipe for a star wide receiver. Coaches have praised him for his advanced understanding of the playbook entering the offseason. Now, he just needs to dial in the hands and make sure he improves his catch percentage in Year 2.
