With the Green Bay Packers working hard in the weight room and on the field, we are flexing our own muscles here at Dairyland Express by ranking every player on the 90-man roster from worst to first.

So far, we’ve covered the bottom 20 positions. You can check them out below:

70. Jason Lewan, Outside Linebacker

Jason Lewan looks like he can play the part for Green Bay this season. He’s 6-foot-6 and 292 pounds while posting an 8.54 Relative Athletic Score (10 is the best). His explosiveness stood out in testing and on the field. There’s no doubt Lewan is a hard worker, as he put on nearly 60 pounds during his time at Illinois State while maintaining his athleticism. A roster or practice squad spot is to be earned in Green Bay.

We are ranking every single player on the Green Bay Packers’ 90-man roster this offseason, continuing with spots 70 through 66.

69. Daniel Whelan, Punter

Pat O’Donnell was solid for the Packers last season, but that didn’t stop them from bringing in Daniel Whelan. Whelan was an All-XFL punter and hails from Ireland. He had a 45.6-yard average in the XFL (third best) with 11 punts inside the 20 while also leading the league in hang time.

68. Chris Slayton, Defensive Line

Chris Slayton was a seventh-round pick in 2019 and has found a way to stick around the NFL since. After being selected by the New York Giants, he’s spent time with the Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers, and San Francisco 49ers before Green Bay claimed him off waivers in May of 2022. He has yet to see the field for the Packers, but with Jarran Reed and Dean Lowry moving on in free agency, there’s an increased opportunity for him.

67. Jonathan Ford, Defensive Line

Jonathan Ford is one of Slayton’s primary competitors for the final defensive line roster spot. Ford was a seventh-round selection last year and stuck around the team for his rookie season despite not making his way onto the field. At 6-foot-5 and 338 pounds, he has good size to eat up blockers and set the tone at the line of scrimmage, something Green Bay desperately needs to improve on.

Next. 3 FA wide receivers Packers should still consider. dark

66. Lew Nichols III, Running Back

Lew Nichols III has already begun to turn heads in what promises to be an exciting battle for the third running back position. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are locks, and there’s a real possibility Green Bay only carries those two backs on their initial 53-man roster (like they did last season). However, they’ll need a third back throughout the season and Nichols will battle Patrick Taylor and Tyler Goodson for that role. He was a seventh-round pick for a reason and has good size and power when running inside.
