The Green Bay Packers have a lot of work to do before the 2023 NFL season begins. And the five players on this list have even more work to do to earn a spot on the roster.

I’m working my way through every single player on the Packers’ 90-man roster heading into training camp, ranking them from worst to first. Here are the previous iterations:

85. Keshawn Banks, Outside Linebacker

Keshawn Banks fits the size profile Green Bay wants from their outside linebackers at 6-foot-3 and 251 pounds. General manager Brian Gutekunst feels carrying that extra bulk helps them be more successful in setting the edge in the running game. Unfortunately, he is one of the worst athletes on the team and will have an uphill climb to make the team.

We are ranking every single player on the Green Bay Packers’ 90-man roster this offseason, continuing with spots 85 through 81.

84. Duece Watts, Wide Receiver

Green Bay has a lot of unproven weapons at wide receiver, opening the door for someone like Duece Watts or Jadakis Bonds to earn a spot on the roster. That doesn’t mean they don’t have a lot of work to do. He has the physical skills and measurables to be an NFL-caliber wide receiver, but needs to transfer those results to the football field. He has upside, but needs to raise his floor significantly.

83. Jadakis Bonds, Wide Receiver

Bonds has tremendous size for a wide receiver at 6-foot-3. He attended college at Hampton University, where he set the record for receiving touchdowns and was third in school history for receptions and receiving yards.

82. Jimmy Phillips Jr., Inside Linebacker

Jimmy Phillips Jr. is an undrafted free agent who has Rich Bisaccia’s fingerprints all over him. He excelled on special teams in college and is a solid tackler. That’s great news considering he’s a below-average athlete and tested very poorly leading up to the draft.

81. Benny Sapp, Safety

What Benny Sapp lacks in size (5-foot-11 and 200 pounds), he makes up for in strength, posting 20 reps on the bench press. Unfortunately, he also lacks adequate speed and agility for the safety position. He could be an intriguing special teams player if he can show the ability to wrap up after he lowers the boom. He also does a nice job communicating with cornerbacks, an issue that has plagued the Packers’ secondary in the past.
