Jordan Love

It’s not an understatement to say the Packers’ season and future depend on the development of Jordan Love. In oversimplified terms, they’ll continue to be good if he’s good. If he stinks, they’ll be left searching for a franchise quarterback for the first time in three decades.

Love has shown glimpses of his ability to the public, but the coaching staff has a much better feel for his development. Hopefully, they saw even more positive signs in practice, so they felt comfortable moving on from future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers.

It won’t be an easy task for Love. Besides Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, he’s surrounded by unproven skill players. He has two rookies at tight end (and Josiah Deguara) and two second-year players at the top of the wide receiver depth chart (followed by a bunch of rookies and inexperienced players). There will be a learning curve, but hopefully, it will trend toward growth.
