The Green Bay Packers are looking for a lot of development before and during the 2023 NFL season. Their future depends on it.

They roster one of the youngest teams in the NFL and are counting on first and second-year players to contribute in significant ways. It’s a big gamble, but their salary cap situation forced them into it.

From an individual perspective, there are some players who desperately need to take the next step. Here are five of them.

Sean Rhyan

Sean Rhyan is in danger of being cut before his second year, a disappointing result for someone drafted in the third round in 2022. Rhyan could not find the field during his rookie campaign despite being healthy. He continued to be buried on the depth chart in Organized Team Activities and minicamp and hasn’t shown signs of life. His Green Bay career could be over before it starts.
