4 International prospects the Milwaukee Bucks could consider with their only draft pick
By Todd Welter
Malcolm Cazalon has some intriguing potential as a shooting guard.
The 6’6″ Frenchman is NBADraft.net’s 61st ranked prospect. Tankathon.com has him listed as their 70th best available player.
He averaged just a little over 11 points per game for Mega MIS of the Adriatic League last season.
He shot just 46% from the field, but his two-point field goal percentage was 57.9%. Cazalon can get to the rim with ease.
The problem is he struggles to shoot the three.
Also, he is 22, so he is older for a prospect you would like stash overseas especially since he does not shoot well. He does have good length and the potential to develop into a good defender in the NBA.
Vincent Valerio Boden is 6’10” and knocks down threes.
The Hungarian shot 43.2% from three for Sopron KC in the Hungary A League.
He is NBADraft.net’s 75th best prospect. This guy has everything you want offensively. He can dribble, get to the rim, pass, and shoot from deep. He developed those skills when he played point guard as teenager before a growth spurt turned him into a long player.
That length gives him the potential to be a solid rebounder and defender at the next level.
The problem is he needs to add another 15-20 pounds and he is already 22. Plus, he is strictly a wing player, so he does not have a lot of positional versatility despite being so tall.
If he could put some muscle on his frame, he has a chance to develop into a stretch-four.
He is a good catch-and-shoot player and that is valuable in the Milwaukee Bucks’ offense.
He stood out a couple years ago at the FIBA U20 European Challengers tournament where he was the MVP and led Hungary to the title.
There is a lot to like about his game and he could spend some time with the Wisconsin Herd getting stronger and working on his game before he is ready to contribute to the Milwaukee Bucks success.
