Luke Musgrave, Tight End

The Packers used two Day 2 selections on tight ends in this year’s draft, selecting Luke Musgrave in the second round and Tucker Kraft in the third. So far, Musgrave looks the part.

Tight end can be one of the most challenging positions for rookies to comprehend and make an immediate impact. They have significant responsibilities in every aspect of the game and are asked to do a lot in blocking and receiving.

Musgrave was impressive during OTAs and minicamp, checking the first box in the process of being an impact player for Green Bay in 2023. His size and speed combination is rare and he flew around the field. Granted, it was without pads, but it’s still great to see good signs early. They desperately need him to step up.
