Surprise standouts from Packers OTAs: Carrington Valentine

Jaire Alexander and Rasul Douglas–Green Bay’s two starting outside cornerbacks–were absent from the entire OTAs, and third-year pro Eric Stokes is still recovering from last year’s injury. That allowed new players to step up on the boundary and prove their worth.

Carrington Valentine, a 2023 seventh-round draft pick, is already looking like a steal for Green Bay. He got plenty of work on the outside during OTAs and had a monster practice on Tuesday when he broke up two passes intended for Doubs. His speed is recognizable on the field, and he’ll have a chance to earn a spot as the Packers’ dime cornerback until Stokes returns.
