The Green Bay Packers will be looking for positive contributions from every nook and cranny on their roster following the departure of star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. That means even unknown role players will be expected to contribute at a high level.

In recent years, players such as Rodgers, Davante Adams and Robert Tonyan received a lot of attention. With a new wave of young talent getting recognition, Jordan Love, Christian Watson and Rashan Gary are trying to become the franchise’s new faces.

However, several players will play huge roles for the Packers that are some of the best-kept secrets heading into this summer.

These three players are flying under the radar with the Green Bay Packers and are some of the best-kept secrets in the NFL heading into the summer of 2023.

Jon Runyan

The Packers’ offensive line has been solid for years now. Players such as David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins have established themselves as some of the best at the position. Meanwhile, tackles like Yosh Nijman and second-year pro Zach Tom get attention for their versatility.

Jon Runyan will enter the final year of his rookie deal and the third as the team’s starter at guard. He’s started 33 games over the last two years and should add 17 more to that tally if he can stay healthy in 2023. He hasn’t been at the level of a Jenkins, but he’s held his own and isn’t in great danger of losing his starting spot. It’s incredible what he’s accomplished after being selected in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Kingsley Enagbare

Kingsley Enagbare had a fantastic opportunity last year after Rashan Gary went down with an ACL tear and made the most of it. The Packers clearly needed more talent and depth on the edge, but Enagbare projects to be a key rotational player at the position this year even after Gary returns.

In 17 games last year, he finished with three sacks, eight quarterback hits and 31 combined tackles. The fifth-rounder was thrown into the fire as a rookie, proving he belongs in the NFL. He should be able to take another leap in Year 2 thanks to his extensive playing time as a rookie.

Romeo Doubs

Watson gets most of the attention for his playmaking and ability to go the distance anytime he touches the ball, but Romeo Doubs is the steadier contributor. He works the middle of the field, giving Love a safety valve on any play and understands how to get open on the intermediate routes.

dark. Next. It's time for Aaron Rodgers and Packers to move on

Doubs will likely be Green Bay’s leading receiver in terms of receptions and possibly even touchdown catches. He was their breakout star of training camp and preseason before slowing down a bit in the regular season. Even then, he finished with 42 receptions for 425 yards and three touchdowns. Don’t be surprised if those numbers easily double in 2023.
