Best remaining free agent fits for the Packers: Akiem Hicks, Defensive Line

With Dean Lowry and Jarran Reed departing in free agency, the Packers are thinner along the defensive line than they would like. Adding veteran Akiem Hicks would help address some of those concerns.

Like Jones, Hick’s primary role wouldn’t be to step up on the football field. Green Bay is fully prepared to give Devonte Wyatt and T.J. Slaton all the reps they can handle, hoping to find out exactly what they have in each player. Hicks could help that, giving them another veteran at the position to mentor the younger guys.
