Packers with expanded roles: Keisean Nixon

Keisean Nixon had a breakout 2022 campaign in which he showed electric skills as a kick returner. His emergence was a major factor in the Packers’ late-season string of victories that almost led them to the postseason.

Nixon will be the Packers kick returner again in 2023 and will likely handle punts as well. His chance for expansion comes on both defense and offense.

Will Matt LaFleur use him as an offensive weapon? Green Bay had success with Tyler Ervin a few years ago and Nixon could replicate a lot of that work. He also held his own in coverage last year and could become the dime cornerback after Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes and Rasul Douglas. There’s a good chance we’ll be seeing a lot of him next season.
