Gone are the days where the Green Bay Packers are desperately grasping onto a Super Bowl window that’s quickly shutting. We are officially in the era of a youth movement.

The movement isn’t only happening because Green Bay traded Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets. The Packers also moved on from key veterans at several positions across the roster and added 13 players from a massive 2023 Draft class.

With the Packers looking toward the future, a lot of young players will have expanded roles in the upcoming season.

With the Green Bay Packers fully embracing a youth movement for the 2023 NFL season, five players will have expanded roles.

Packers with expanded roles: Zach Tom

It feels like Zach Tom was a full-time starter during his rookie year, but he played fewer snaps than David Bakhtiari and just a couple more than Royce Newman. Perhaps, it was because he didn’t become the full-time starter at right tackle until late in the season.

He will have a starting spot on the offensive somewhere next season. It’s still to be determined whether that will be at right tackle, right guard  or center. Tom is too talented to keep off the field and clearly one of Green Bay’s five-best offensive linemen.
