Front-runners to become Bucks’ head coach: Nick Nurse

Although Nick Nurse is the only candidate on this list who hasn’t been reported to interview for the Bucks’ head coaching gig, he’s still considered the favorite to land the job. Part of the lack of a report could be that he’s the only coach on this list who isn’t currently employed.

Nurse has a championship pedigree, winning the 2019 NBA Finals with the Toronto Raptors, his first season as a head coach. That included coming back from down 0-2 against your own Bucks.

Nurse has a diverse coaching profile, having made multiple stops across the globe. He was an assistant coach in Toronto for five years before becoming the head coach over the last five years. He’s known for running multiple defenses and experimenting on that end of the floor. However, one of the biggest criticisms is the stagnant offense he runs. That could be too familiar for Milwaukee if they go in this direction.
