Green Bay Packers 2023 NFL Schedule Tracker
By Paul Bretl
On Thursday evening, the NFL is set to release the 2023 schedules for each NFL team. But as is often the case, before the announcement is officially made, there will be leaks and rumors beforehand about when the Green Bay Packers will be playing a number of their opponents.
As of now, we know who the Packers home and away opponents will be for the upcoming season, but the schedule announcement will tell us when those games are taking place. Here is a look at the Packers 2023 opponents:
Home
Chicago, Minnesota, Detroit, Kansas City, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans, and Tampa Bay
Away
Chicago, Minnesota, Detroit, Atlanta, Carolina, Denver, New York Giants, Las Vegas, and Pittsburgh
All in all, at least on paper, which as we know, doesn’t matter much at this time of the year, it’s not a terribly daunting schedule for the Packers and first year starting quarterback Jordan Love, as they face just five playoff teams from the 2022 season.
After technically having nine home games in 2022, with Green Bay considered the home team when they played in London, that has now flipped this season, with the Packers being on the road for nine of their 17 regular season games.
As the schedule is released, some important items to be on the lookout for is when the bye week occurs. As we all remember, it was very late last season for the Packers. Also, are there any long home or road stretches. During Green Bay’s five game losing streak in 2022, they played in five different stadiums during a five week span.
In addition to all of that, how many prime time games are there? And how many games will be played at Lambeau Field in December and January?
Once the schedule is announced and official, I will take a closer look at everything just mentioned, along with other important aspects of it, but for now, here is what has been reported thus far:
