Nick Nurse

Nick Nurse is the favorite on most betting sites, even if he draws mixed feelings from fans on social media.

He has the championship pedigree Milwaukee is looking for, having won the NBA Finals in 2019. He’s spent his entire 10-year NBA coaching career with the Toronto Raptors, serving the first five as the assistant coach before spending the last five as the head coach. He also led the team to the playoffs in three of those five years.

He was fired, in part, due to the lack of wins the team has accumulated over the last three years. His penchant to play his starters heavy minutes and inability to develop a bench are also criticisms of his coaching style.

He is the Xs and Os coach Milwaukee is looking for. He’s an elite tactician with no problem adjusting on the fly. In fact, he’s elite at making alterations to his gameplan and often has multiple layers he can go to. Ultimately, that could be what lures Milwaukee to him.
