Ranking Packers’ position groups following 2023 NFL Draft
8. Offensive guard
The Packers have a stud left guard in Elgton Jenkins, who single-handily pulls this position group up this high. He’s been moved around throughout his career, but it looks like Green Bay is stabilizing him inside.
Due to their preference for offensive linemen who can play multiple positions, plenty of other guys can slide inside. Jon Runyan appears to be the leader for the starting right guard spot and he’s been solid throughout his career.
On the roster: Elgton Jenkins, Jon Runyan, Royce Newman, Chuck Filiaga, Sean Rhyan
7. Wide receiver
Green Bay is fully embracing a youth movement at wide receiver, throwing out a bunch of second-year players and rookies at the top of their depth chart. It’s a high-risk, high-reward maneuver.
The talent is there, don’t get me wrong. Christian Watson can potentially become a true no. 1 wide receiver, with Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed looking to earn the no. 2 spot. Depth is certainly an issue, as they have a roster full of unproven players.
On the roster: Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reen, Samori Toure, Jeff Cotton, Bo Melton, Grant DuBose, Dontayvion Wicks, Malik Heath, Deuce Watts,
