Prospects Packers hope fall: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Wide Receiver

Remember when I said an offensive line is a new quarterback’s best friend? Well, I may have lied. An offensive line AND a good receiving corps are co-best friends.

Green Bay sorely lacks quality playmakers and will be heavily counting on two second-year pros in Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs next season. That’s a good start, but Jordan Love needs more talent around him.

Jaxon Smith-Njiba compliments them perfectly and can work full-time out of the slot. He has excellent hands and is a wise route-runner beyond his years. His ceiling may not be as high due to the lack of elite athleticism, but his floor is high enough.
