Prospects Packers hope fall: Tyree Wilson, Edge

The Packers don’t have an immediate need on the edge (as long as Rashan Gary can return from a torn ACL he suffered last year), as Gary and Preston Smith are the unquestioned starters heading into 2023.

However, the Packers could take a similar path to 2019 when they selected Gary in the first round as a long-term replacement for one of the solid veterans ahead of him on the depth chart.

Tyree Wilson has some work to do on the edge, like developing a more profound array of pass-rushing moves, but Green Bay would give him time to do just that. He has tremendous length, speed, and power to build upon, traits the Packers love.
