First-Round Draft Prospects to Help Packers and Jordan Love: Paris Johnson Jr, Offensive Tackle

Green Bay may have to reach for a wide receiver with their 15th overall selection. This year’s class doesn’t stack up as well at the position as in previous years. Another route will be for Green Bay to go with an offensive lineman.

A quarterback’s best friend is the protection in front of them. Why do you think Aaron Rodgers was always hanging out with David Bakhtiari? Gutekunst has diligently developed the offensive line, including adding multiple players through the draft seemingly every year.

Paris Johnson Jr. would be a long-term answer at either tackle position and a classic Packers’ pick. His athleticism is off the charts, and the sky is the limit for his development. Sitting a year behind Bakhtiari would do him wonders and set him up for long-term success.
