The Green Bay Packers have a desperate need at wide receiver. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Could they turn their attention to free agency to address the need?

To be clear, the Packers have minimal cap space to work with and would need to clear room to make any signing at this point. They still have tools in their toolbelt to make that happen if they desire.

That may seem like an extreme, but it’s almost a necessity at this point. Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Samori Toure are the top three wide receivers on their depth chart (and only three with an NFL catch under their belt). You can’t enter an NFL season with a bunch of second-year players as the veterans of the position.

If they want to add an actual veteran (which they should), here are three bargain free agents still remaining at wide receiver.

The Green Bay Packers don’t have much money to spend, but here are three bargain free agent wide receivers still available.

Bargain free agent wide receivers: Olamide Zaccheaus

Zaccheaus has continued to improve every season and is only 25-years-old entering his fifth NFL season. He had a career-high 40 receptions, 533 yards and three touchdowns last season. He’s only 5-foot-8, but could play various roles in Green Bay. A one or two-year deal should allow him to continue building value and get a bigger free agent deal next time around.

Bargain free agent wide receivers: Marvin Jones Jr.

Jones is a trusted veteran who knows what it takes to succeed in the NFL. That’s exactly what the doctor ordered for the Packers. He’s spent the last few years with the Jacksonville Jaguars and has his best years behind him. However, he can be a role model on and off the field for the young Packers’ receivers.

Bargain free agent wide receivers: Jarvis Landry

Landry is another veteran who could come in and help this young receiving corps. He missed most of last season with an injury, so Green Bay must ensure he’s healthy enough to play. He’s been around the block for a while, but should still have enough in the tank to contribute on the field as well.
