Packers: 3 free agent tight ends still available to replace Robert Tonyan
Free agent tight ends still available for Packers: Austin Hooper
It feels like Austin Hooper has been in the NFL for over a decade, but he’s somehow only 28-years-old. He was cut by the Cleveland Browns before signing with the Tennessee Titans, a move that proved to be extremely helpful to his career.
He demonstrated his explosive ability in the passing game, something the Packers lacked last season. He also has very good hands, rarely dropping the rock. It will be interesting to see if Green Bay can afford a player like him, as he’s probably looking for a multi-year deal. He’d be a great transition candidate at tight end, as a high draft pick prepares to take over for the future.
