Packers Aaron Rodgers trade offer to Jets: The Darnell Savage One

Green Bay doesn’t get a first-round pick in this version, but does secure two second-round selections. By acquiring the 45th overall pick, they’ll have three picks in the top 45 in 2023, with 10 first and second round picks from 2022-24.

The Packers relinquish their price a bit by including Savage in this deal. Green Bay’s cap hit for Rodgers will increase if a trade is made, and they offset it by including Savage.

The Packers’ safety position is in peril as Savage and Adrian Amos are coming off the worst seasons of their career. Amos is an unrestricted free agent. Trading Savage will give them more salary cap space to operate with and fill the spot via the free agent market.
