Prospects who rose up Packers’ draft rankings at Scouting Combine: Jartavius Martin

Safety is another major need for Green Bay this offseason. Adrian Amos and Rudy Ford are unrestricted free agents and general manager Brian Gutekunst made it sound like they could be gone. Darnell Savage is returning with one more year on his contract, but he doesn’t inspire a ton of, if any, confidence based on last year’s play.

Martin played all over the place in college–cornerback, slot and safety. That versatility will be welcomed in Green Bay, as they need to add talent to their secondary. He had a 44-inch vertical jump and an 11-foot-1-inch broad jump. His speed, which was a question mark entering the draft process, came in at 4.46 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He had an impressive 10-second mark as well.
