Dream free agent wide receivers for Packers: Michael Thomas

Back when Drew Brees was the quarterback and Thomas had his health, he was once a record-setting wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints. Shoot, he caught 149(!) passes for 1725 yards and nine touchdowns in 2019. It’s safe to say he’s no longer that type of receiver.

However, that doesn’t mean he can’t be a quality player for the Packers. He’s a veteran who is one of the best route runners in the NFL. He’s also known for his work ethic and professionalism, two skills with which he could mentor the younger Green Bay receivers. This signing would be as much about the off-the-field mentoring as the on-the-field production.
