Here are seven takeaways from Green Bay Packers’ general manager Brian Gutekunst speaking with the media at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Packers expect Mason Crosby to return
After a wonderful career with the Packers, Mason Crosby is hitting unrestricted free agency. Some fans thought Green Bay might go in a different direction, but it sounds like the Packers want Crosby back.
“To be able to kick in Lambeau Field in clutch situations, I mean any new kicker, that’s gonna be tough for those guys. That takes time and Mason has that” Gutekunst said while speaking to reporters. “He has that experience. I think you’ll see a stronger leg and a different power in his leg on kickoffs this coming year just because he won’t be coming off that surgery.” That sure sounds like a GM who expects Crosby to be back next season.
