Overpaid Packers: David Bakhtiari

Sometimes Lady Luck isn’t on your side. The Packers and Bakhtiari agreed to a massive extension for the stud left tackle shortly before he suffered an ACL tear that would change his career trajectory.

Before the injury, which happened in practice, Bakhtiari played at least 12 games in every year of his career. He’s only played in 12 total games in the two years since his injury. He was one of the best left tackles in the NFL, and is still pretty darn good. However, his 2023 cap hit of $28.8 million is too massive for a part-time player.
