The Green Bay Packers have already begun clearing salary cap space for the 2023 offseason. Will they create enough room to sign one of the best free agents available?

First, it was reworking Aaron Jones’ contract. Next, it was restructuring Preston Smith and Jaire Alexander’s deals. They now have $5.5 million in salary cap space, but several remaining moves would allow them to create even more space. Restructuring David Bakhtiari’s contract is another example.

When Green Bay creates enough room to sign a big free agent, they may want to turn their attention to this list. I’ve picked out some of the Packers’ biggest needs (safety, wide receiver, edge and tight end) while also mixing in some of their tertiary ones (interior defensive line, offensive tackle and offensive guard).

If the Green Bay Packers want to make a major splash in 2023 free agency, here are the 50 best free agents available to them.

I also removed certain positions Green Bay would ignore a big-time free agent at (quarterback, running back, etc). That brings us to this working edition of available free agents. If the Packers dip their toe into free agency, they’d only be able to sign one of these big-time players at most.
