The Green Bay Packers are coming off a disappointing season in which they underwhelmed in several categories. The front office, coaching staff, and star players take much of the blame, but there’s enough to go around.

If Green Bay wants to return to its winning ways and avoid a lengthy rebuild, they’ll need players across the depth chart to improve from last year’s performance. Considering the salary cap troubles they’re in, it will take a team effort to climb out of this hole.

Without further ado, here are five players on the hot seat entering the 2023 offseason.

The NFL changes quickly, and these five players on the Green Bay Packers are on the hot seat entering the 2023 offseason.

Packers on the hot seat: Quay Walker

Walker’s season ended with a dud, as he was ejected in the season finale against the Detroit Lions. Not only did he make contact with a member of the Lion’s training staff, but it was his second such incident in the season.

Walker has all the physical tools to succeed as an inside linebacker in the NFL. The questions are about his mental capacity. He now has a reputation as a hothead and he’ll have to work diligently to shed that. Furthermore, he struggles to diagnose plays and is often out of position due to being fooled by misdirection. Some of that is acceptable for a rookie, but he’ll have to limit that mistake moving forward.
