Free agents Packers should avoid: Odell Beckham Jr., Wide Receiver

The Packers have been infatuated with Beckham Jr. since he was a free agent two years ago. Unfortunately, both parties are in different spots at this point and should avoid making that connection a reality.

Green Bay is no longer the Super Bowl contender they once were and Beckham doesn’t have the same allure. Beckham’s injury history and age caught up to him quickly and he isn’t the same receiver he once was.

He sat out the entire 2022 season following his ACL tear in last year’s Super Bowl and will turn 31 early in the season. He didn’t have a clean health bill before that injury, either. He’s a nice player to have when you have strong leadership and are in a good position as a team. However, he could have a negative impact on a team such as the Packers who are in a transitional phase.
