Free agents Packers should aggressively pursue: Devin McCourty, Safety

Adrian Amos is a free agent and Darnell Savage is entering the final year of his contract. It’s unclear if they’ll re-sign Amos or even keep Savage around for one more year (they could try to attach him to an Aaron Rodgers’ trade). Both players underperformed mightily last season.

McCourty isn’t a long-term answer, as he’s 35-years-old. However, he could come in to be a stop-gap and mentor a couple of younger players.

Despite his age, he continues to play at a high level and stay healthy. He’s a ballhawk in the back half of the secondary and is a solid tackler. That’s exactly what Green Bay was hoping Savage could become. He’d be a nice one or two-year place-holder.
