Re-grading Packers 2022 NFL Draft class after rookie years
Re-grading Packers’ first-round picks in 2022 NFL Draft:
Round 1, Pick 28: Devonte Wyatt, IDL
The Packers oddly spent both first-round picks on non-premium positions at defensive line and inside linebacker. The results was a lessened impact by both players.
Green Bay’s defensive line was deep in 2022, and Wyatt struggled to crack the regular rotation until Lowry went down with a season-ending injury later in the year. Then he thrived. He played significant snaps over the last three games, showing off his ability to disrupt the pocket and move the line of scrimmage. It’s too bad it took him that long.

Round 1, Pick 22: Quay Walker, ILB
Walker possesses all the physical traits it takes to be successful in the NFL. He’s fast, strong and brings down ball-carriers with a strong impact. It’s the mental side he’s lacking. He’s slow to diagnose plays and often is completely out of position and confused as a result. Opposing teams used this to their advantage, knowing they could scheme simple designs that would confuse him. Worse, he was ejected twice for pushing staff from an opposing team.
