Re-grading Packers’ seventh-round picks in 2022 NFL Draft:

Round 7, Pick 258: Samori Toure, WR

The final Packers’ pick of the draft, Toure might have the highest ceiling of any of the four players selected in the seventh round. An injury cut his season short, but he appeared in 11 games and caught five passes for 82 yards and one touchdown. He might be able to turn into a fourth receiver at some point in his career.

Grade: B+

Round 7, Pick 249: Rasheed Walker, OT

Walker only played one game for the Packers, but he has a bright long-term future. He’s still raw and is learning how to play the game, but the coaching staff feels they can help him develop into a solid swing tackle. He showed signs in the preseason of being able to do just that.

Grade: B+

Round 7, Pick 234: Jonathan Ford, IDL

Ford is the only Packers’ draft pick in the entire class who failed to play at least one game for the team in 2022. The good news is he was on their 53-man roster for the entire season, but was just inactive for every game. That shows Green Bay believes in him and it will be interesting to see if he can make an impact with Jarran Reed and Dean Lowry potentially leaving in free agency.

Grade: C

Round 7, Pick 228: Tariq Carpenter, S

Carpenter only played 16 snaps on defense, but was a regular on the kick coverage and punt return units. He also made some spot appearances in the other special team’s units. That’s a good start for a rookie, especially on a team with a renewed focus on the third phase.
