As the Green Bay Packers continue to work their process about whether four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers will return, glowing reviews continue to come in about quarterback Jordan Love. This time from stud running back Aaron Jones.

Love has sat patiently for three years now and is itching to play. In a segment on Undisputed, Jones said, “You can tell he wants to play, he’s itching to play” when asked about Love.

His willingness (or unwillingness) to sit another year has to factor into the Packers’ decision about what to do with Rodgers. First, Rodgers must determine if he’s going to return for 2023. Green Bay could be inclined to trade him for a haul and jump-start the rebuild if he does.

In an appearance on Undisputed, Green Bay Packers’ running back Aaron Jones said, quarterback “Jordan Love will be that guy.”

If that occurs, Green bay will try to make their second successful transition from a future Hall of Fame quarterback. They can only hope this goes half as well as their last one.

We haven’t seen much of Love in live-action games, but all signs are pointing toward his development being to a point where he can be the quarterback of a successful football team. He came in when Rodgers went down against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12 and completed 6 of his 9 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown.

Jones was asked several questions about Love and gave a glowing review. He shared, “Jordan Love is ready. Jordan Love will be that guy. He made a huge jump this year. OTAs, we could see it, and then it kept snowballing, snowballing and snowballing. You can tell, he wants to play, he’s itching to play. When his time comes he’s going to be ready. He’s going to be that guy.”

The running back also broke down several other aspects of his game, describing Love as “very smart” and saying that his arm strength is “right up there” with Rodgers’. He continued by saying he is “definitely athletic,” although he doesn’t use his legs very often.

Jones is confident Green Bay will be “just fine” if a transition is made at quarterback this offseason. He shared he has “a lot of trust in Jordan” based on their past work in OTAs.

That’s a glowing review from a veteran who has been with the Packers for six years now. Let’s hope Jones’ scouting report is accurate if they do make the transition.
