As the Green Bay Packers decide what to do at quarterback with Aaron Rodgers, I’ll assume a decision on their part and move forward with completing a three-round 2023 mock draft with Jordan Love at the helm.

This exercise doesn’t include a Rodgers’ trade and the potential incoming draft capital it should provide. Green Bay still has plenty to work with in the 2023 NFL Draft, including three top 80 picks.

The Packers finished the 2022 season at 8-9, the worst in the Matt LaFleur era. That gives them the 15th overall pick–their highest selection since taking Rashan Gary in 2019. Although general manager Brian Gutekunst loves to make trades in the first round, I’m assuming he’ll stay put in this mock scenario.

Without further ado, here’s a three-round mock draft that gives Love plenty of help in his first year as the Packers’ starting quarterback.

Here is a three-round 2023 mock draft for the Green Bay Packers that includes plenty of help for Jordan Love at quarterback.

Round 1 (15): Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College

How ironic would it be if Green Bay finally drafts a wide receiver in the first round the year after Rodgers leaves?

Flowers would be a terrific addition to the wide receiver corps and would fit in nicely alongside Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. He caught 78 passes for 1077 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, showing off his big play ability.

He’s someone LaFleur would love to design plays around; he’s exciting with the rock in his hands and can make guys miss. I can see him now, running crossers and doing all the dirty work after the catch. He would also give Green Bay another deep threat. He needs to work on his blocking and hands–two areas the Packers value highly.

Round 2 (45): Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia

Green Bay will have several decisions to make at tight end this offseason. Marcedes Lewis and Robert Tonyan are free agents, leaving them with a massive void at the position. It might be smart to draft someone in the early to middle rounds and bring back Lewis for another year.

At 6-foot-7 an 265 pounds, Washington would give them a massive human being who is a great in-line blocker. He can take over the Lewis role sooner than later and ensure Green Bay can create running lanes for their backs. He still has work to do in the passing game, but the potential is there.

Round 3 (78): Blake Freeland, OT, BYU

Gutekunst is always looking for more offensive linemen and could be in the market for a long-term solution at tackle David Bakhtiari wants to return to the Packers, but there’s no saying how much longer his knee will hold up.

dark. Next. 4 realistic Rodgers' trades Packers should consider

Freeland could turn into a starter, as he has the protypical size and length to become a tackle in the NFL. He has some promising signs, but, like any rookie, there is work to be done.
