Safety

The safety position was a disaster. Once upon a time, Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage were trending toward becoming one of the best safety tandems in the NFL. They were athletic, smart and provided support in both the run and pass games.

That was far from the truth in 2022, as both players regressed mightily and looked very bad.

Amos is a free agent and who knows what Green Bay will do with him. He was two steps too slow all season long and consistently out of position. Savage was even worse. He had zero interest in tackling and made a mockery of his name. Out of 89 qualifying safeties in 2022, Savage and Amos ranked 88th and 82, respectively, according to PFF.
