Grading Green Bay Packers’ rookie seasons
Grading Packers’ rookies: Early Rounds
Sean Rhyan (3rd round, 92nd overall):
The Gutekunst and Packers’ third-round curse is real. Rhyan played a total of one snap (and that came on special teams) all season despite being fully healthy. His name was rarely mentioned as he flew under the radar despite being a high pick. He could be on the fast track to becoming the next Amari Rodgers.
Grade: F
Christian Watson (2nd round, 34th overall):
Watson battled injuries throughout his rookie campaign, but was terrific when healthy. He completely changed the Packers’ season, making plays with the ball in his hands and always drawing a ton of defensive attention. Drops are a real issue, but he has a lot of momentum to build on moving forward.
Grade: A+
