Grading Green Bay Packers’ rookie seasons
Grading Packers’ rookies: Middle Rounds
Kingsley Enagbare (5th round, 179th overall):
Enagbare stepped into a starting role over the final eight games and proved worthy of regular playing time in the future. For a fifth-rounder, he was active getting after the quarterback and wasn’t a complete liability in the run game. He registered 11 pressures and three sacks, proving to be a nice depth piece next season.
Grade: B+
Zach Tom (4th round, 140th overall):
Tom’s versatility stod out immediately, as he lined up at every position except for center during his rookie year. He might be best suited as a guard long-term, but proved he could hold his own at either tackle position. The only thing holding him back was the coaching staff when they took so long to get him on the field.
Grade: B+
Romeo Doubs (4th round, 132nd overall):
Doubs had an amazing training camp and preseason, sparking optimism he could make an immediate impact at wide receiver. Unfortuantely, he was unable to build on that momentum and finished his first season with 42 receptions for 425 yards and three touchdowns. He struggled to beat man coverage and get open consistently. On the plus side, he was tremendous at plucking the ball out of the air with his hands, showing a natural ability to catch the rock.
