Adrian Amos and the Green Bay Packers had a bounce-back game Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. The veteran has had a down season and hasn’t looked much like the player fans got used to seeing over the last four years.

With the Packers hosting the Detroit Lions on Sunday night in a must-win game, Amos will have to bring that same level of play for a second consecutive game.

Amos is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and it’s unclear what plans Green Bay has for him. He’s taken a clear step back in this play, often showing a loss of athleticism. He’ll be 30-years-old next season, and it’s possible his best football is behind him.

That’s been a huge disappointment for a defense that was expecting to rely heavily upon their veteran safeties.

These 12 players on the Green Bay Packers could be playing their final game at Lambeau Field as a member of the home team.

Despite being an unrestricted free agent, Amos will still count on the Packers’ cap sheet thanks to void years. He’s on the books for nearly $8 million in 2023 and there’s no getting around that. However, as Ken Ingalls recently pointed out, Green Bay could sign Amos for less than that $8 million and maintain the same cap hit to play for them instead of letting him walk in free agency.

The Packers only chance to make the playoffs is as the last and final seed, meaning they won’t host a playoff game this year. That means Amos and these 11 players could be playing their final game at Lambeau Field as a member of the home team.
