Packers injury report heading into Monday Night Football against Rams
The Bye week did wonders for the health of the Green Bay Packers.
They’ve been struggling with injuries all season long, as they played 13 straight games before getting a week off. Now, their injury report looks a lot cleaner.
Heading into their must-win Monday Night Football contest against the Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay only has one player listed as out–David Bahktiari. Nobody else carries an injury designation.
Players who were limited in practice this week, but will be able to play include Romeo Doubs, Elgton Jenkins, and Aaron Jones.
The Green Bay Packers got a bunch of good news on their injury report heading into their Monday Night Football showdown against the Rams.
Doubs return will be fun to watch. He’ll share the field with Christian Watson for the first time since Watson’s breakout began. The rookie duo has the potential to light up the field and provide a nice spark for the Packers’ offense. Following a breakout training camp and preseason, Doubs struggled throughout the regular season. Hopefully, adding him to the mix with attention on Watson will help free him up.
Jones has struggled with an ankle injury he suffered a couple of weeks ago. He was limited all week in practice, so it’s nice to see he doesn’t carry an injury designation heading into the game.
Replacing Bakhtiari will be key against the Rams’ defensive line which will also be missing Aaron Donald. Zach Tom will likely get the start at left tackle and have his hands full. It’s a matchup worth watching.
Besides Donald, Marquise Copeland (defensive tackle), Travin Howard (linebacker), David Long Jr (defensive back) and John Wolford (quarterback) are also out for Los Angeles. Brian Allen (center) is listed as questionable.
This is a must-win game for Green Bay. The Seahawks lost again this week, opening the door a crack for Green Bay to make a late postseason push. To do so, they need to win out. This is the easiest remaining game on their schedule and they should be able to win without any major issues. However, if you’ve been paying any attention this season, you know it will be easier said than done.
