The Green Bay Packers got some help on Thursday night when the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Seattle Seahawks Now, Green Bay must do their part and get a win over the Rams on Monday Night Football.

At 5-8, the Packers could still run the table and give themselves a good chance at getting into the playoffs. That would mean nearly doubling their victory total this season, a tall task.

That run starts with a game against the Rams. Coming off their bye, Green Bay is healthier than ever and should be at near full strength. However, they still need these three players to step up and have a big game.

These three players on the Green Bay Packers need to step up and have a big game against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football.

Aaron Rodgers

If the Packers are going to win out, Aaron Rodgers needs to play at an MVP level. He’s the only player on the team who can dominate in the fashion they need. He’s been better lately, but there’s a lot of room for growth.

He’s been battling thumb and rib injuries the last few weeks, so hopefully, the bye week provided enough rest. Rodgers has been developing chemistry with Christian Watson over the last month, which should continue. Romeo Doubs is now back which should help the offense as well. However, it’s all on Rodgers to find the open receivers.

Robert Tonyan

The Rams boast one of the best red zone defenses in the NFL, ranking second in scoring percentage. Green Bay has struggled in this part of the field and needs to capitalize on every scoring opportunity they get.

Robert Tonyan caught 11 touchdown passes in 2020, but hasn’t been his same self since returning from an ACL injury he suffered last season. He only has one touchdown so far. If the Packers move the ball inside the 20, they’ll need their biggest threat to come alive.

Kenny Clark

The Rams will try to pound the rock in this new offense. Green Bay’s defensive line, led by stud Kenny Clark, will need to step up. Clark came alive in the Packers’ last game and needs that to continue. Clark needs to set the tone at the line of scrimmage and help stop the run game before it gets going.
