Secondary

For a group that loves to talk the talk, they don’t walk the walk.

The Packers’ secondary is full of talent that hasn’t played to its potential. Part of that has to do with the coaching, but the players also need to take responsibility.

Jaire Alexander is the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL, but has had some major struggles this season. Rasul Douglas and Eric Stokes haven’t played up to the same level as last year either.

The major issues are at safety. Both Darnell Savage and Adrian Amos are having awful seasons. They haven’t tackled well nor covered well. Savage has recently been benched in favor of Rudy Ford. Ford has been a revelation for the defense and is playing the position the right way. He’s the only bright spot at safety.
