Most disappointing Packers heading into bye week: Robert Tonyan

Tonyan hasn’t shown the same explosiveness he did before he tore his ACL last season. At his peak, he was an athletic tight end who could run seam routes and go over the top of linebackers and/or safeties to grab the football. He hasn’t been that same type of player this season.

His yards per catch is at a measly 8.3–he averaged 11.3 during his breakout campaign of 2020. He also only has one receiving touchdown and a season-long reception of just 23 yards.

Next. Winners and losers from Packers' Week 13 victory. dark

He does have 45 receptions on the year and is on pace to set a career-high in that category. However, much of that is due to a 10-catch game he had back in Week 6. He has just seven receptions for 57 yards in his last four games. Yikes.
