The Green Bay Packers still have plenty of season left, but that’s not stopping us from looking ahead to the 2023 NFL Draft. We have to keep our sanity somehow.

Green Bay would hold the 10th overall spot if the season ended today. That’s a depressing thought, but prime position for them to grab an instant playmaker.

They already have Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love under contract so why would they draft another quarterback? Well, a lot can happen between now and April. Rodgers could retire and Green Bay could lose faith in Love’s development. There might be a chance Love gets extended time this season and if he fails to produce, the Packers could be forced to look elsewhere at the position.

Here are three way too early quarterback prospects the Green Bay Packers could target with their first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Bryce Young, Alabama

Young, the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner, is a household name for most college football fans across the country. He is a very smart quarterback who should be able to diagnose NFL-level defenses and start from the very beginning. His mobility and accuracy on short and intermediate passes are also strengths of his game.

His downfield passing needs work. He doesn’t have a cannon for an arm, but isn’t Tua Tagovailoa either. The touch needs work and this should come with time. If the Packers were to land Young, they’d have an instant starter with a high ceiling.
