Following a performance by the Green Bay Packers offensive line that Matt LaFleur called the worst he’s seen since becoming the head coach, he would also add following the Jets game that “everything is on the table” in regards to any adjustments being made.

However, in order to make those adjustments, David Bakhtiari has to be available. But he is now questionable for the Packers game against Washington because of his knee.

Bakhtiari essentially played the entire game against the New York Jets, only coming out for the final series once the game was out of reach. It was also his best performance of the season, as he gave up just one pressure and was one of PFF’s highest-graded run blockers in Week 6.

I recently discussed five potential combinations the Packers could utilize along the offensive line, but the most popular and likely option involves Yosh Nijman moving to right tackle and Elgton Jenkins to guard.

Nijman doesn’t have any NFL experience at right tackle, and moving from one side of the offensive line to the other is not a simple transition. However, with Jenkins back at guard, where he is at his best, and Nijman potentially receiving some blocking help from tight ends, would hopefully elevate the play of the offensive line.

Unfortunately, if Bakhtiari is unable to go against Washington, Nijman would then stay at left tackle.

If that’s the case and the Packers don’t want to trot out the same offensive line unit as last week, other options include putting Zach Tom at right tackle, so Jenkins can still move inside or Tom going to guard with Jenkins staying at tackle for another week. Although, with Tom being a rookie, will Green Bay be willing to start him? So far, they haven’t been.

After facing a tough Jets defensive front, the Packers’ offensive line will again be tested again. The Commanders have been among the best this season in sacks and pressures.

Regardless of the adjustments Aaron Rodgers and LaFleur make, any success begins with the play of the offensive line.
