There’s a lot of action surrounding the Green Bay Packers at this time of the year and it can be difficult to keep up. Allow us to be at your service.

Here is a one-stop shop for all your latest Packers’ news heading into the weekend and their battle against the New York Jets.

Amari Rodgers’ role: Christian Watson took over as the kick returner last week, further limiting Amari Rodgers’ role on the Packers. With Watson down with a hamstring injury now (more on that later), it will be interesting to see where the former third-round pick stands. Special teams’ coordinator Rich Bisaccia said Rodgers works extremely hard and they aren’t about to bench him. We’ll see how long that lasts.

Here is a compilation of the latest news surrounding the Green Bay Packers including injuries to Aaron Rodgers and Rashan Gary, their defense and more.

Rashan Gary’s toe: The Packers are concerned about Gary’s new toe injury, which is something to monitor moving forward. Gary must’ve injured it at Wednesday’s practice, as he was a full participant that day before being limited in practice the next two. He’s now listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Without Gary, the Packers have very little depth at outside linebacker.

Christian Watson’s hamstring: Sammy Watkins is already on the injured reserve with a hamstring injury and it’s possible Watson could be heading there for the same reason. He re-injured it on Sunday and didn’t practice at all this week. It’s been lingering since the beginning of the season and head coach Matt LaFleur appears open to placing him on the IR so he can get it right.

Aaron Rodgers’ thumb: Add Rodgers to the growing list of injury concerns to key players. He hurt his thumb at the end of the Giants’ game and did not practice on Wednesday. However, he was a full participant on Thursday and Friday and isn’t listed on the injury report against the Jets. It seems to be a non-issue.

Defensive scheme: The Packers have way too much individual defensive talent to play this poorly as a unit. Part of that has been the execution by their players and the other part is the passive defensive scheme Joe Barry employs. It appears the latter will be changing, as Barry announced the need to change to a more aggressive scheme moving forward. On paper, that should fit this team a lot better. On paper. We’ll see how it plays out on the field where it matters the most.
