Trades are rare in the NFL, but there’s at least one team with a couple of prospects the Green Bay Packers could be interested in.

The Carolina Panthers recently fired their head coach and defensive coordinator after a 1-4 start. Their cupboard of draft picks for a rebuild is bare–they only have four selections in next year’s draft–and could be in the market to restock.

Packers’ general manager Brian Gutekunst always does his due diligence and could poke around the Panthers to gauge their interest in a trade for star wide receiver D.J. Moore. Moore has put up three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in Carolina and recently signed a three-year contract extension (a financial situation that could make any trade difficult to manage).

If Green Bay wants to pull the trigger, here are three trades they could explore.

If the Green Bay Packers truly want to go all in this season, here are three trades they could make for Panthers’ wide receiver D.J. Moore.

Green Bay would send Amari Rodgers and a 2023 first-round pick to Carolina in exchange for Moore. Rodgers is clearly not working out and would likely be cut with the addition of another receiver. This is simply the Packers’ way of throwing him into the deal in case the rebuilding Panthers want to try their hand.

The first-round pick is determined by previous wide receiver trades that have recently happened. Davante Adams went for a first and a second-round pick. A.J. Brown was dealt for a first and third. Tyreek Hill went for a first, a second, two fourths and a sixth-rounder. Moore isn’t on the same level as any of those three, but is still a nice player. A late first-round draft pick should do the trick.
