The Bears had been blown out by the New England Patriots 51-23 in their previous game. They came off their bye week and got crushed again. This time the beating came courtesy of the Packers on national television.

Rodgers completed 18 of 27 passes for 315 yards, along with six touchdown passes. All of those touchdowns came in the first half.

Rodgers connected with Jordy Nelson for touchdowns of 73 and 40-yards. He also hooked up with Eddie Lacy for a 56-yard touchdown.

Bears’ fans were calling for their head coach at the time, Marc Trestman, to be fired before the second half even started. The Bears did end up firing Trestman, but after the season concluded. The blowout in Green Bay seemed to be the final nail in the coffin for Trestman.

The Bears had just acquired pass rusher, Khalil Mack. He made his presence felt in the first half as he had a pick-6 that allowed the Bears to go into halftime up 17-0. Deshone Kizer threw that pick-6 as Rodgers was knocked out of the half with a knee injury.

Rodgers returned in the second half and brought Green Bay back after being down 20-0 in the 3rd quarter to win the game.

The Bears had a chance to shut the door on the Packers, but quarterback Mitchell Trubisky did not see a wide-open Trey Burton in the endzone. The Bears settled for a field goal instead to go up 23-17 late in the game.

Rodgers took the ball and found Randall Cobb for a 75-yard go-ahead score with 2:29 left. Packers nation went from fearing they had lost their franchise quarterback for the season to absolute jubilation. Chicago went from absolute joy to complete shock, depression, and misery. Three feelings Rodgers has delivered consistently to the Bears.
