Rodgers made his first career start against the Bears. The Green Bay Packers dominated the entire game. The offensive line, in particular, dominated the Bears’ front-seven.
Rodgers was very accurate with his passes. He completed 23 of 30 passes for 227 yards, along with two touchdown passes.
Green Bay pulled into a tie with the Bears at 5-5. Alas, the Packers would win only one more game in 2008, but the win was a showcase of many more lopsided Green Bay victories to come.

The knock on Rodgers after his first season directing the Green Bay Packers was he could not lead the team to a come-from-behind victory.
He erased that doubt in the first game of the 2009 season.
Jay Cutler was getting all the press as he made his debut as the Bears quarterback. On Sunday Night Football, it was Rodgers who outplayed Cutler.
It was a preview of things to come. Cutler ended up with a 2-10 record against Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
Cutler had a rough game as he threw four interceptions but still led the Bears to a 15-13 lead late in the game. That is when Rodgers silenced the critics when he found Greg Jennings for a 50-yard touchdown pass.

It was a game where the Packers had to win, or they would be out of the playoffs. This was a defensive battle for much of the game.
Rodgers found Donald Lee in the endzone in the fourth quarter for the deciding score. The Packers won, made the playoffs, and the rest was history.
Rodgers led the Packers on an improbable playoff run to win the Super Bowl. It was much more sweater when the Packers knocked off the Bears in the NFC Championship Game at Soldier Field.
