Burning questions for Packers: Will the defense play as advertised?

On paper, the Packers have one of the best defenses in the entire NFL. Their defensive line is vastly improved and should be able to eat blockers while penetrating the backfield. They have two edge rushers who can make life a living hell for opposing quarterbacks while their inside backers can run sideline to sideline. Their secondary also sports five very good players looking to take their game to the next level.

They’re also coming off a postseason performance that saw them limit the San Francisco 49ers offense to just seven points. However, we’ll see if it all comes to fruition on the football field.

The Packers could be just a couple of injuries away from having to play guys who are not suited for NFL defenses. That could become a major problem. We also forget this defense got lit up over the final seven games of the regular season–allowing an average of 27.2 points per game over that stretch. Hopefully, they’re able to live up to the hype.
