The Green Bay Packers are ready to kick off the 2022 NFL season. Well, almost.

They have one more week of practice before they head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings this Sunday. Both teams project to be fighting for the NFC North division title and this will be a good measuring stick for both of them.

The Vikings are entering Year 1 in Kevin O’Connell’s system and are looking to combine a modern offense with an improved defense. The Packers, meanwhile, are entering Year 4 under Matt LaFleur and are the more established team. However, they have plenty of questions about this year’s team.

The answers to these three burning questions will determine the outcome of the Green Bay Packers’ 2022 NFL season.

Burning questions for Packers: Who will step up as a pass-catcher?

Notice how this question says “pass-catcher” and not “wide receiver.” That’s because Green Bay isn’t picky about who steps up in the passing game as long as someone does. They lost Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling in the offseason…but we already knew that…and replaced them with Sammy Watkins, Christian Watson, and Romeo Doubs.

Watkins has been extremely quiet throughout training camp while Watson was working his way back from injury and didn’t suit up once. Meanwhile, Doubs flashed a consistent ability to get open no matter who was lined up across from him. Robert Tonyan, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are also options Rodgers will have in the passing game. The Packers desperately need a couple of them to step up.
